About us
We are Australia’s Largest Dog and Cat Store!
We currently have 13 stores across Sydney with the newest addition of PetO Vet Clinics, and more are being added. We’re a family-owned and run Australian business with all our teams part of our local communities. There’s no corporate hierarchy here and we’re looking for a vet to join our family! We pride ourselves on our passion for pets and giving them the best life we possibly can. About this role
PetO is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic full-time or part-time Head Veterinarian!
This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting network of Vet Clinics within MetrO Sydney. The current clinics have been a huge hit and we’re looking for a Head Veterinarian to lead the charge.
Our customer offer is very straightforward and gives our Vets the ability to work with clients without pressure and without anxiety. We believe that all pets deserve the best care – no matter their budget or schedules. We want to offer customers convenient, affordable and easy vet care!
- Examine pets to diagnose and tailor health plans for their health issues
- Provide vaccinations, prescription medication and product recommendations
- Build rapport and relationships with customers
- Create partnerships with other clinics to refer and consult on more immediate care solutions
About you
- NSW Veterinary Registered
- Passion for pets (why wouldn’t you be?)
- Desire to achieve a gold standard in patient care
- Organised, engaging, empathetic
- Ability to build relationships with customers, partner clinics and the team
- Open to travel between 2-3 stores (all within 5-10kms of each other and 20 mins or less drive)
- Natural ability to lead and loves to grow a business!

With 12 locations across Sydney, this opportunity provides flexibility on location! Every PetO Vet clinic is based in key MetrO Sydney locations such as Annandale, Lane Cove, Ashfield, Penrith and more! They are all surrounded by restaurants, great coffee and a buzzing atmosphere.
