About us
The Veterinary Health Centre (VHC) is the School’s clinical teaching facility which operates on a commercial basis, offering a range of first opinion, emergency and specialist referral veterinary services across all animal species to the general public and referring veterinarians. The VHC has state of the art facilities, technology and equipment, and offers an ambulatory (on-farm) service and a campus-based clinic providing veterinary services to owners of production animals and horses in a wide region around Roseworthy. The centre also provides a clinical training environment for final year veterinary students and veterinary technicians working under the close supervision of experienced veterinary surgeons and support staff.

Additionally, you will provide a range of high-quality veterinary services to hobby farms and ‘pet’ livestock owners of all large animal species, dairies and feedlots, and the horse-owning community. On occasion, you will be required to assist in the case management of hospitalised patients in the clinic’s hospital and ICU facilities under the guidance of specialists.
This role may require participation in an after-hours on-call roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays. On-call and call-in rates apply in accordance with University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement.
