Our 12 vet practice is busy with an interesting and varied veterinary surgical and medical caseload. The mix of work is approximately 60% small animal, 30% equine, 5% ruminants and 5% wildlife. We aim to make pets feel at ease in our clinic with a caring and gentle approach to treatment and consultations. Small animal only vets are also highly encouraged to apply.
Small Animal or Mixed Practice Vet
Our practice is in regional Victoria, 20 minutes from the large Regional town of Ballarat. But we are also an easy hour and a half drive to Melbourne for the restaurants and shows or the Surf Coast for the coastal beach experience.
The area is friendly, progressive and has a sense of community.

Our Veterinary Practice strives to be an integral part of our local community. In the time that we have been open, we’ve helped thousands of our clients’ cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, alpacas and other species. Being so strongly integrated with our local community is important to us and our clients. Our customers know by experience that they can rely on us for sound advice and treatment options and that their pet is in the very best hands with our team.
The clinic has excellent facilities including modern anaesthesia monitoring equipment, full orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical equipment, digital radiography, ultrasonography, in house haematology, CBC and coagulation machines, small animal IM3 dental equipment and an equine power float.

About this role
The position would suit someone who has either previously worked in a leadership role or someone who is looking to take that next step in their career. Within the group, there is expertise across most disciplines with support and guidance for difficult cases being readily available.
Salary is up to $150,000 per annum depending on experience.
Benefits include four weeks of annual leave. We place a high value on continuing education and will provide you with one-week study leave per year and payment of courses.
