Lancefield Equine Clinic offers a comprehensive range of services for horses of all shapes and sizes. Our experienced equine veterinarians have a range of medical and surgical skills to treat horses, both on-farm and at our well-equipped clinic.
Lancefield Equine Clinic is a premium 100% Equine Clinic, with purpose-built facilities and a growing team dedicated to enjoying work while being committed to providing the highest standard in equine veterinary care and outstanding customer service. Our clientele consists of performance horses from a diverse range of equestrian sport, from racing, show jumping, dressage, eventing, reining, camp drafting to pleasure and trail. We have a diverse and interesting caseload, including lameness, dentistry, some surgical procedures and medical case management. Our reproductive work during the season includes thoroughbreds and sport horses, chilled and frozen AI, semen collection and neonatal medicine.

About this role
This role is both ambulatory and clinic-based, and we are well-equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood work machine, endoscopy, dental scope with telepack and more to support you in the ambulatory work. On offer is also the ability to be involved with the in-house equine reproduction services, this work during the season includes thoroughbreds and sport horses, chilled and frozen AI, semen collection and neonatal medicine
You are a team player who provides excellence in service and care to equine clients. You are a good communicator who asks for assistance when required and who can discuss difficult cases openly. You have confidence, enthusiasm and a sense of humour. You are looking for a practice where you can settle in and enjoy life as a veterinarian for the long term. You are open to investing in the role and seeing it likewise invest in you.
Ideally, you have equine experience, or a strong interest in equestrian sport, and…

The clinic is based in the gorgeous Macedon Ranges Shire, which is less than 70 kilometres from Melbourne, in Victoria and just 30 minutes from Melbourne Airport. The area is rich in horticulture, vineyards, hobby farms and horse sports. Enjoy life in picturesque surrounds, working in an equine paradise with a clientele consisting of performance horses from a diverse range of equestrian sport, from racing, show jumping, dressage, eventing, reining, camp drafting to pleasure and trail. If you are a horse enthusiast yourself, this area is perfect to live and keep horses with an array of acreages, agistment properties and riding trails locally so you can continue to follow your equestrian pursuits.
- Salary package $80-120k
- Assistance with accommodation during the transition
- 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week paid study leave
