Whitehorse Veterinary Hospital is a 5 vet, purpose built, fully equipped, ASAVA accredited Hospital of Excellence. We are Academic Associates and enjoy training both Veterinary students and Nursing students.
You have to see our extensive range of new equipment! E.g. 3x Gas GA machines, 2x multi-parameter monitoring units with ETCO2, high definition DR Xray, IM3 digital dental Xray, 5 x Braun IV pumps, digital tonometer, 3 Welch Allyn otoscopes, Panopthalmoscope, ECG, separate sterile theatre, 2x Bear Huggers, heated recovery cages, 2 x IM3 dental machines, large and fine endoscopes, in-house REM blood machines.
We use Rx works, Smart flow, Vet S8 and other modern programs to maximize communications.
Speaking of communication – we close the hospital and turn off the phones for 2 hours every fortnight to eat together, learn something together and share our ideas on continually improving our service. Every day at 10.10am and 2.40pm, we gather in a huddle and keep everyone in the loop as to what’s going on in our work day.

About this role
This position requires you to be resilient, confident and independent. You will be expected to work well in a team and embrace modern technologies at the same time as living by timeless values.
The full time position would remunerate a 38 hour week (no after hours) at well above award wages, including 1 weekend in 3, 1 week study leave, paid conference, and all award conditions.
